Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Stanley Hogshead. Hogshead graduated from the Naval Academy in 1942. He served as a Gunnery Officer aboard the USS Bailey (DD-492). They participated in the Battles of Komandorski, Tarawa, Saipan, Tinian, Kwajalein, Eniwetok and Peleliu. The ship returned to the U.S. in December of 1945. Hogshead’s discharge date is not noted.

Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Willard Frank. Frank joined the Navy in July of 1943. He deployed to Waimanalo in Hawaii to an Amphibious Training base. Frank served as an engineer on an LCVP, ferrying supplies from shore to ships.
