Description:
The invention is "to improve the construction of gages for planes and to provide a simple, inexpensive, and efficient device adapted to be readily applied to the stock of the plane and capable of being set at different angles" (lines 10-15) "to enable the face of a board to be accurately planed at the desired angle" (lines 16-17).
