The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Frederick Coffee. Coffee was born in Decatur, Indiana 16 August 1923 and graduated from high school in 1942. Upon joining the Navy, he underwent eight weeks of boot training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station, Illinois before entering Aviation Machinist School.
