Description: Letter from A. H. Blackshear, Jr. to D. W. Kempner listing the assets of $921,000 for the DeSoto Oil Company, including cash, buildings, notes receivable, stocks, accounts receivable, inventory, and supplies. The memo notes the company’s successful operation over the past thirty years and suggests that disposing of their plant and properties should not be difficult. Despite never having been inside the plant, Blackshear comments on its well-kept appearance and excellent condition.
