Description: Photograph of a Mexican Constitutional Soldier. A Constitutional soldado is taking aim at a distant target with his bolt action Mauser. The Constitutional soldado is wearing a khaki uniform, leather leggings, and a Stetson style hat. The soldado is a private in the Venustiano Carranza Constitutional Army. Description: Photograph of General Emilio P. Campa. General Emilio P. Campa is the 10th man from the left. General Campa was one of Orozco's subordinate commanders. Some of the men in this photograph were the personal bodyguards to General Campa. General Campa and General Salazar were good friends with Pascual Orozco and fought against the Constitutional Army. [Mexican Rebels]

Description: Photographs of Mexican Rebels surveying the valley below. There are at least three partially visible rebels. One man can only be seen from the shoulders up and the other two men can only be identified by their sombreros. The men are surveying the valley below them where there appears to be some kind of activity happening. A closer look, right above the hat of the first man, reveals a mule and a horse down in the valley below them.

[Dead Villista]

Description: Photograph of a dead Villista. The Villista is wearing the traditional Mexican peasant garb. The traditional peasant outfit includes the white cotton trousers with the white cotton pullover shirt, usually worn untucked. Accessories for men usually included simple sandals or boots, a tall pointed straw woven sombrero, and a simple cloth belt. The soldier’s sandals have been taken away from dead man.

[Abraham González Casavantes with Madero]

Description: Photograph of Abraham González Casavantes with Francisco Madero. Abraham González was one of the main leaders of the Maderista Junta Revolucionaria Mexicana, which was a movement opposing the re-election of then-dictator Porfirio Diaz in 1910. Abraham González was murdered on March 7, 1913 in Bachimba Canyon on the orders from Victoriano Huerta. The first and second gentlemen in the photograph are not identified. The remaining men are Abraham González, Francisco Madero, and Pascual Orozco.

Description: Photograph of José Doroteo Arango Arámbula also known as Francisco "Pancho" Villa. Villa is holding a camera. Barely visible on the left side of the photograph is Rodolfo Fierro, who was also know as "the Carnicero," Pancho Villa's right hand man. Behind Villa and standing up is Pascual Orozco. [Mobile Cannon]

Description: Photograph of a cannon on a train car. This train car was specially modified to be able to carry and support this cannon. Because the railroad tracks were so easy to sabotage or to ambush, many of the railroad cars had to be outfitted with makeshift self defense mechanisms such as this cannon. Both the federals and revolutionaries destroyed many railroad lines in order to cut off supplies to the other side.

Description: Photograph of the Brigada Sanitaria. Translated into English, the Brigada Sanitaria means Health Brigade. The Brigada Sanitaria was a volunteer organization. One of the primary roles of the Brigada Sanitaria was to provide first aid medical care to those wounded during the fighting of the Mexican Revolution. Wounded Insurrecto

Description: Photograph of a wounded revolutionary soldier. A wounded revolutionary soldier has been taken off a train car and is being transported to an unknown location. It has been conservatively estimated that as many as 1 million people, including civilians, were killed during the Mexican Revolution. Source - Encyclopedia Americana (2003). Other sources have put the total death toll at more than 2 million.

[Mexican Constitutional Soldiers]

Description: Photograph of Mexican Federal Soldiers. This group of Constitutional Soldiers is preparing to ride out. There is a soldier sitting on his horse in the front center of this photograph. Just beyond this soldier is a man climbing onto his horse. This man, who is about to mount his horse, is wearing a domed shaped hat. The domed shaped hat was typically worn by a captain in the Constitutional Army.

During the Mexican Revolution multiple miles of railroad tracks were dynamited and destroyed by both sides in order to prevent supplies and men from reaching their intended destinations.
