Los Voladores de Papantla

Description: Postcard advertising HemisFair '68, featuring a painting of one of Los Voladores de Papantla (the Flying Indians of Papantla) who performed ancient dramatic rituals. In this picture, the a man wearing a traditional costume is standing on a mountain top with his arms outstretched to hold up the edges of a decorated blanket. He is also wearing traditional ornaments and a very elaborate headpiece composed of skulls and feathers.
