Description: A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Jeff Davis, Executive Secretary, United Texas Drys, dated June 3, 1942. Davis confirms that Bishop Boaz will be with Brother Douglas Carver on June 14, glad Carswell is "getting" a group to go to Austin and enthusiatically advises, in a postscript, that Marion County voted dry on Saturday giving them 129 totally dry counties to date. McLeod expresses her interest for employment in the office of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. McLeod notes that in December of 1926, she was offered a place with the Abilene Chamber of Commerce under the able direction of Mr. T. N. Carswell and resigned that place in October, 1935.
