Two curved panels at hips are gathered at the hem. Unlined, with 3-1/2" band of black stiffened net at interior hem line. Description: Petticoat of off-white nylon-like material with very faint damask weave with pattern of roses. Mid-length, elastic waist. Bottom edged with white lace band. Inside petticoat near hem are 3 wide tiers of white tulle ruffles, and an inner, overlapping layer of the off-white nylon to protect legs from the tulle. Inner layer of nylon with same lace edge as main layer. No labels or tags.

Description: Petticoat of white cotton. Full-length, with plain waistband. Side opening with two buttons, both now missing. Thin horizontal band of applied lace with "running square" design near knee-height. At bottom is an 8" deep ruffle of fabric with eyelet lace, laid over the hem of the dress, with a band of the "running square" lace at upper edge. Scalloped hand embroidery.
