Black taffeta petticoat

Description: Black taffeta petticoat with pink crinoline and net ruffles underneath. Elastic waistband. The hem consists of the outer black taffeta petticoat, three layers of pink net ruffles sewn to the crinoline, and an inner layer of black taffeta sewn over the ruffles. The middle layer of pink net is lighter in color than the outer layers. Two tags in garment: "Hedi / California" and size tag (Medium)

Description: Camisole slip of white cotton, knee-length, princess-line, eyelet trim around the shaped neckline and as the shoulder straps. Semi-fitted princess-seams. Turned hem with applied ruffle of eyelet lace and insertion. The slip is homemade and appears to be a petticoat from 1910-1915 that was altered and remade.

Camisole slip

Description: Camisole slip of heavy white cotton, knee-length, camisole slip. Eyelet lace trim around the neckline and as the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps' eyelet is attached to white cotton twill tape. Empire bust seam insertion of eyelet lace. Flared. five panel shell with turned hem. Gathered. 15" wide flounce of eyelet lace applied 15" above the hemline. The slip is homemade and appears to be a petticoat from 1910-1915 that has been altered and remade.

Description: Petticoat of white cotton with lace trim around the double layered hem with upper tier of scalloped ruffle with lace and lace inserted panels. Yellow ribbon inserted under white lace in the middle section with a bow tied on one side. Full length and flared with princess panels and gathering at waist. Button closure on 1" waistband.

Cotton petticoat

Description: Petticoat of white cotton. Full-length, with plain waistband. Side opening with two buttons, both now missing. Thin horizontal band of applied lace with "running square" design near knee-height. At bottom is an 8" deep ruffle of fabric with eyelet lace, laid over the hem of the dress, with a band of the "running square" lace at upper edge. Scalloped hand embroidery.

Cotton petticoat

Description: Petti-hoop of steel hoops within a white cotton petticoat. A modified form of cage crinoline consisting of three graduated steel hoops that open with snaps that fit within horizontal pockets of the full-length petticoat. Petticoat has gathered waist and eyelet lace at hem. Maker's label sewn in: "Petti-hoop / Created by / Ru-Nell / Pat Pend #494517" Size label, "10".
