Floral handkerchief

Description: Ladies' handkerchief. Square of off-white fabric. Printed outer border of peach, with inner scalloped line of brown. Each corner with large printed floral (rose?) design in peach, brown, white, and blue/green. No labels or tags. Approx. 12" square.

Tubeteika hat

Description: Traditional Uzbek (Samarkand) tubeteika style hat of deep purple velour trimmed with black velour along bottom. Hat is square shaped with slightly pyramid shaped crown. Trimmed in metallic thread embroidery in a floral design with sequin accents; design is on each side, and four designs on top of crown. Designs consist of teardrop shape at center with red or green velour fill with a small sprig in the center and flowers branching out from each side. Interior of black webbed cotton.

Gat

Description: Gat Korean man's hat of black stiffened buckram and crinoline. Flat, round crinoline brim with black lacquered willow stiffener at the outer edge. Tall cylindrical crown with flat top. The top of the crown is embellished with a black filigree silhouette sandwiched between the two layers of buckram. Long black gauze ties attached at the base of the crown.

Christen Petersen Home

Description: Photograph of a two-story structure in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Christen Petersen. The photograph was taken behind a wire fence and a row of trees, which are a few feet away from the home. The house has intersecting gable roofs, white siding, and four double hung windows; two on the first floor and two on the second.
