Photograph of Band #9 just recently out of the U.S. Navy School of Music. In this picture the band is divided into three rows of men, the front row is kneeling and the top two are standing; the officer of the band is seated in the middle on the front row. This picture was taken in May 1940, on the U.S.S. Texas and the names of the men are written on the back in order from left to right.
