Photocopy of an article, discussing the National Assessment project designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational system through an assessment of success. Students were tested on how they responded to art, if they valued art as a medium, how skillfully they produced art and how much history they know. By collecting the date it was possible to make claims about the status of art teaching.
