[5" Gun Crew Manning "E" Gun]

Description: Photograph of a 5" gun crew manning Gun 16 during S.B.B.P. in October 1929. This is one of the ship's long guns, and it takes a large crew to adequately manage it, there is even a stripe painted on the deck that the crew operates around; most of the men in this photo are standing and watching the crew.

[82 Field Artillery]

Description: Photograph of the 82nd field artillery marching by the Masonic Hospital. In the photograph are soldiers dressed in uniform; they are riding horses and walking with heavy weaponry. The Masonic Hospital stands in the background. Before becoming the Masonic Hospital, the hospital was known as the Rolston Hospital located at 918 N Pieras Street, corner of Montana Avenue in central El Paso. The hospital was bought by the Masons in 1923 and renamed the Masonic Hospital in that same year.

Description: Photograph of a parade float for an Armistice Day celebration. Description: Postcard image of an 'Armored Train'. A field artillery piece, of an unknown model, sits on top of this Mexican railroad car, or tren de ferrocarril, and is headed towards an unknown destination. A large group of Mexican spectators has gathered to get a better look at the canon. Two Mexican men appear to be guarding the artillery piece. Bee County Courthouse and World War I Cannon

Description: An early photo of Bee County’s Fourth Courthouse built in 1912 by local architects W.C, Stephenson and F.W. Heldenfels. Note the WWI cannon in front of the courthouse. During the First World War the US Cavalry trained at the Cook (now Dugat) Ranch and the Army Air Corps trained on the Nutt land (Capehart). Several Bee County men were WWI veterans and thirteen made the supreme sacrifice for their country.
