Below the picture, the following information is written - "Home of Governor John Page, Life Long Friend of Thomas Jefferson One of the oldest homes in Williamsburg, Va. Built in 1710. On Palace Green. An inscription scratched on a window pane, reads "S. B. 1796, Nov. 23, O Fatal Day." "A. Boush, 1734," is a second inscription on another window pane."
