[Letter from Matilda Dodd to Sis and Mr. Moore, July 30, 1882]
Description:
They received the Moore's letter and are all doing well, except Florence. She was overheated while cooking three meals for 25 hands. The hands were used to thrash the wheat and they got 700 bushels cut. They has never before in Tennessee been able to get 25 bushels per acre. She thinks the corn looks promising. Carrol Wilson visited from Texas and took Miss Prudy Petete with him. He lives in Cook County. She says that the peaches and apples look good and that they have plenty of vegetables. Bet…
