Description: Photo of Dr. Tucker and Dr. Linder of Tennessee Colony in a 1911 Model T Ford. This particular car was made in a 56" tread width and a 60" tread. This one was the 60" tread which fit the ruts made by the Studebaker wagons used by the farmers. Dr. Tucker took the train to Dallas, bought the car, then drove it home after getting shown how to operate it. They lived 26 miles from the courthouse and it took 2 hours on an average to "drive in". Description: Photo of the Stern Wheeler H.A. Harvey Jr. This boat set a speed record of four days for completing the trip from Magnolia in southern Anderson County to Galveston, while fully loaded with cotton and other freight. In the picture, the steamboat is shown tied up at the Commerce Street landing in Dallas. After plying the Trinity River for several years, it was sold and sailed to Louisiana in 1898 when Trinity River navigation died out.

Description: Photo of Rev. John Patrick Huddleston, who was born on August 7, 1830 in Blount County, Alabama and his wife, Frances Caroline Killion. She was born July 15, 1833 in Blount County, Alabama. They married in 1853 and John Patrick died on July 14, 1909 in Palestine. Frances died November 10, 1920, also in Palestine. They are both buried in the Crawford Cemetery.
