Treadle-Spring.

Description: Patent for an improved treadle spring to be used in treadles that are used in sewing machines, scroll-saws, and similar machines. It is simple, inexpensive, efficient, and requires less effort to operate the treadle. The spring does not move while in use.

Hand-Car.

Description: Patent for improvements in hand-cars by “providing gearing operated by cranks, on the shaft of which are arranged triangular balance devices, the cranks being adjustable by means of set-screws of other analogous means, so that they may be made to operate the wheels in either direction desired.” (Lines 24-29) Illustration is included.
