The HPU Art Department
opened the third in its fall of art
shows last Sunday with an
exhibit of paintings and
ceramics by Lovena Forbes.
The paintings are especially
interesting because of the many
different textures and surfaces
in which the artist works in an
all-media art. Art work in the
show includes everything from
ceramics to oils pastels to
water colors.
Lovena Forbes teaches
private art classes in Brown-
wood. These classes involve
drawings and painting in still
life and landscape. Classes are
for beginners intermediates
and advanced students.
Mrs. Forbes has studied
under William Henry Earle of
Connecticut; Hemtu Gasser of
New Jersey; Ramon Fromom
Bud Biggs and Bill Brigal of
Dallas;' Richard Goets of
Oklahoma Harold Rooney of
San Antonio Thelma Pards and
Wllllna Whiteside of Fort
Worth and others.
