in executive session of the senate to-
day was feeble One point was that
it was a project of Sprotceis to obtain
the sugar bounty but this was
silenced by the potent fact that no
provision relating to bounty is in the
proposed treaty The Hawaiian com-
missioners are very much elated and
are so confident of success that they
are preparing for their departure

committee and the future secretary of
the treasury during which it was ap-
parent there was no difference of opin-
ion as to the issue of bonds
