Little Bucks Take
2nd In District
The White Deer Little
Bucks defeated Claude in
their final game, 20 to 8.
The Little Bucks dominated
the game offensively and
defensively. Lewis Newman
scored twice on runs of 45
and 30 yards respectively and
Joe Swaney scored on a 60
yard run which showed a lot
of individual effort. Dewayne
Hillman scored on a 40 yard
run which was nullified be-
cause of a penalty. The
Little Bucks had a drive
stall on the 3 yard line by
about a foot. Darin Skaggs
did a splendid job of calling
the plays on the field and
executing the hand-off to
the proper backs. Jack Dupy
made some fine carries from
the tailback position.
The offensive line, com-
posed of John Kotara, Darin
Cofer, Terry West, Mark
Lewis, Chuck Mitchell,
Joe Martin, David Gallett,
Dudley Pohnert, and Shawn
Craig, controlled the line
of scrimmage, blocking
good holes for the backs.
Defensively, the Little
Bucks did an excellent
job, with outstanding play
from David Gallet, John
Kotara, Darin Cofer. Joe
Martin, Terry' West, and
Joe Swaney. The secondary'
Sam Farmer, Dewayne
Hillman, Lewis Newman,
Darin Skaggs played very-
well also.
Most of the last quarter
was played by guards,
Daryl Smith, and Howard
Cook; center, Ian Punches;
tackles, Kevin Blodgett and
Mark Lewis; ends, Dudley
Pohnert and Shawn Craig;
linebacker. Lewis Newman;
cornerbacks, Sam Farmer
and Dewayne Hillman;
and halfbacks, Jack Dupy
and Darin Skaggs.
