More than just routine chores
were going on at the University
farm last Thursday during the Ag
Bar-B-Q. The eggs were
gathered for tossing, not for
eating, although a few par-
ticipants ate their egg anyway.
Horse shoes were pitched, but no
horses were shod. Other games
were played, such as softball,
volleyball and forty-two.
Later in the afternoon a
program was provided by Dr.
Michell Wade and Joel Hillen,
with Dr. Stanley Westbrook
adding a little spice to the ordeal.
The climax of the entertainment
was when Wade played and sang
"Blue Suede Shoes." Excitement
rose across the crowd with
whoops and hollers as Hillern
performed the "Orange Blossom
Special" on his fiddle.
After surviving the torture
chamber, everyone enjoyed the
delicious barbecue. After the
meal, door prizes were given
away and more games were
played.
Just what really was in that barbecue sauce?
