Well most of our community
received more rain Wednesday
of last. week. Everything is so
srreen it is almost black, includ-
ing the weeds.
Mr ami Mrs. BUI McCrav and
girls went to Slaton Tuesday of
Fast week to get a shredder. Now
the weeds on the gin yard are
shredded off.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sudduth
and girls were Sunday dinner
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Claude
Sudduth.
Teddy Givens enjoyed his trip
to, Houston last week. He accom-
panied Mr. Eades and the
Wheeless boy on "the FFA trip.
We are all quite proud of Teddy,
it is quite an honor and takes
many hours of work to be Star
Farmer of an FFA chapter.

into the trash and burn them.
When you do this it also saves
having to gather the squash off

Mrs. Edrie Sikes and son, Ron-

Fort Worth Saturday afternoon
to get Mrs. McCrays sister. Lois

The unearthing of the woTlffs

pleted recently in the Basra
El Sham area of the Syrian
Region of the UAR.

the gifts were displayed.
Approximately two hundred
guests called and sent gifts. The

Miss Kay Havens gave a ce-
ramics painting Tuesday at the
Kalgary community center. It
was an all day affair with each
■guest bringing a covered plate
lunch. Several ladles of the com-
munity attended.
Benjie Beaty returned home
from visiting in Odessa and La-
mesa. He had a. wonderful time
and especially enjoyed a visit to
the Riding Academy where he
rode the bridle trails.
This communty was shocked
early Sunday by the tragic
death of Paul Nichols of Roaring
Springs-which occurred Saturday
night when he was presumably
drowned In K tank on the SMS
Ranch here while swimming
with two companions.
