Dear HIomefolks:
im writing you on the back of yesterday's
program at the church in town. Rested all
afternoon as'we had noservices at Wolf tidge
,except in the rornin{, and at night,
Last'night was a glorious night for us 'at
the meeting. Our special prayer list consisted
of 17 young people who had gone beyond the age
natural for S.S. pupils and had become shy of
the church, aid rather cynical of church nrembership.
Six of them made a public confession, and
one 'last year's convert made a reconsecration
of her life. Three of the converts were strappig
young men just about grown and leaders
among the young people in the community. It
makes us -very hopeful of winning all the rest
for whom we are praying. One boy and two girl_
are of this family of Bells where I am staying.
Mr. Iatthews is doing some of the best preaching
I ever heard any body do. I want to -et him in
the town church if I possibly can this fall,
Saturday the oldest Bell boy,Gild,got
married. He is bookkeeper in the lst.National
Bank in towMn,and all the boys were framing up
to give him a thoroughgoing sendaway-rice-,old,
shoes, confetti, and all that goes with' such an
occasion. But he had me take him and'his bride
both mothers and one of his sisters in my car
to Denton,a week ahead of his plans, secured his
licence and got married on the pike ten minute,
drive this side of Denton. A sudden shower ran
us into the car. right in the midst of the cereifi
mony, and we all got drenching wet before it
quit. We brought them back as far as ValleyView
where they took the train far Ft. Worth.
Glad to get your card, mama, Will let you
know when to expect me home for a few days.
Lots of love toc all,
