Van Meter, Bub Eldredge and
George Scott.
For those who haven't heard.
McAdoo fell to the Jayton Jay-
birds in the finals of the district
tournament.
Mrs. O. V. Byrd of Vernon vis-
ited her mother, Mrs. M. C. Form-
by Mrs Form by returned to Ver-
non to care for the granddaugh-
ter, Miss Frankie Sue Duncan,
who is home following an opera-
tion
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Young and
Jeffry, Mr. and Mrs. Johnney and
Mr. and Mrs. Dickey, Tammy
and Terry visited with Mrs. Bill
Woolley and Randy in Canyon
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Wallace
visited their children, Mr. and
Mrs. James Bruce and children
and Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Wal-

Berry. The blood given was cred-
ited to Uncle Joe Hickman.
Rev. C. W. Pate has had the
flu this week but was able to
preach Sunday.
Many attended the funeral of
J. A. Swaringen in Spur Sunday.
Mrs. J. H. Rigsby, a daughter,
is a member of this community.
To this family we wish to extend
deepest sympathy.
Mr. and Mrs. L. H. McWil-
liams visited in Lubbock with
Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Armstrong
and family Sunday. Gregg re-
turned home after spending the
weekend in this home.
Dale Simpson of LCC, Lubbock,
filled the pulpit at the Church
of Christ Sunday.
Mrs. Jessie Morris, mother of
G. B. Morris, and Miss Annie
Harris and Mrs. Robert Nickles,
were released from the hospital
this week. Wo wish for all of
these a speedy recovery.
The Junior high and errad>
school tournaments at McAdoo
netted approximately $523.28.
This was the best turn out ever.
This money goes toward paying
for the basketball letter jackets.
Billie Harris, Tajuanna Kay,
Kathey, of Amarillo, visited with
her parents, "Mr. and Mrs. Char-
lie Harris and attended the ball

Frances and Bruce McLaugh-
lin of Midland visited theii
grandparents, Mr .and Mrs. A.
W. Van Leer over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Troy Jolly and

parents, the L. S. Harveys and
Paula, during the wekend.
J. A., C. A., D. E., G. G. and
Woody Allen made a business
trip to Dallas last week. They
met there with another brother,
Robbie Allen.
John A. Allen spent the week-
end in Big Spring visiting his
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Ivey and Lois. Mrs. Allen return-
ed home after caring for a new
grandson this week. His name is
Kent Lee.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Neff and
family visited her sister, Mr. and
Mrs. Bobbie Hardin and family
in Crosbyton. Mr. and Mrs. O. E.
Lumsden and Mr. and Mrs. Tom-
my Lumsden of Muleshoe weie
also visiting the Neffs and Har-
dins
The grade school boys won
second in Crosbyton junior high
tournament this weekend while
the girls took consolation.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Carr and
Mack Carr of Petersburg visaed
with Mrs. J. C. Joplin Saturday J
night and attended services at
the First Baptist Church Sunday
morning and visited Mrs. Velma
Young Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Harvey left
last week for Uvalde to spend
the rest of the winter months.
Several attended funeral ser-
vices for Rob Johnson on Mon-
day, a longtime resident of our
community years ago. We want
to extend deepest sympathy to
each of the family.
Henry Harris and J. A. made
a business trip to Lubbock on
Tuesday.

Rev. and Mrs. Henry Grey vis-
ited Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Neagle
Sunday. Rev. Grey is a Baptist
preacher residing in Idalou. The
Greys and Neagles have been
friends since childhood.
