going into an open air business
tho past year tho ravages of the
disease mado porcoptibio prog-
ress and tlio result of brooding
over tho future was tho overturn-
ing of reason and caused him to
take his own life. Mrs Dyor had
feared this for some days and
had hid oil tho tho guns but
this morning near daylight just
a moment after she had left
him ho stepped into her
room and found her pistol
with which ho tired thefatal shott
the bullot entering over tho left
Oar causing instant death.
The whole community sympa-
thizes with Mrs. Dyer and her
little daughter Allee in their
irreparable loss. Mr. Dyer has
boon hero many years and was
superintendent of tho Swonson
Bros.-' ranch ono of tho largest
in this part of tho state and was
regarded as being one of tho
best posted and most successful
stockmen in the country.
It is now arranged for tho
funeral to take place Saturday
afternoon unless Mr. Swonson
of New York desires it post-
poned until he can get horo. Mr.
Dyer's" father and mother live
near Georgetown and it is sup
posed that they will arrive to-
morrow afternoon.
