Among those that have made a success in A. C. C. and established a worthy reputation is
"Becky." Not only are her accomplishments in regular course of study recognized but she has
attained prominence as a dramatist.

As a man who was an organizer, a man with the ability to control and lead people "Red"
was the choice of his class to edit the year book and no one could have worked harder on their
task. He has the distinction of being one of the first four letter men the institution has turned
out. About the middle of January, he became a Professor in Abilene Public Schools and it
seems that teaching and coaching will be his occupation for a few years at least.

A. C. C. since '21; Vice-President of Junior Class; Graduate in Expression '24; House Chairman
Zellner Hall '23; Most Popular Woman '23; Secretary of Students Organization '25; Delegate
to Philo-Phila Convention '24; Dramatic Club; Kojokai; Zellner.
Merle is a real leader in all branches of college life, especially in Dramatic work. We can
rightly say that she deserved the honor of Most Popular Woman. She is a good worker and
boaster for A. C. C. and we are looking to her to make a real success in life.-40--
