in Hugo, Minnesota and a re-
ception followed at Fortin Hall.
We wonder if this Hall is nam-
ed for Father Fortin.
Margaret shows great com-
passion in extending her sym-
pathy to Ernestine, wife of
Cecil Pearson (Div Hq/QM)
and further writes ... I have a
dear friend and former neigh-
bor who is now a resident of a
nursing home here is Sierra
Vista, Arizona. She is also suf-
fering with Alzheimers Disease
and it is heart wrenching to
watch her failing. Now that
Dan is gone, I try to spend at
least four days a week at the
nursing home visiting my fri-
end Irene and have made fri-
ends with a number of other
residents and all they ask for
is a little love and attention. I
do enjoy reading the HCN and
am sorry I will not be at Kan-
sas City but hope to see every
one in San Antonio in '89.
Another letter comes from
Tony Arena, another old buddy
who served as a stenographer
in the Division A G Section and
whom I haven't seen nor heard
from since our meeting in New
York City way back in the early
50's.
He writes ... Before I started
this letter, I tried to call you
but there was no answer. I am
still doing the same thing. I'm
doing travel work and teaching
Stenotyping. I never remarried.
My wife has been gone since
January 1967.1 have two sons.
One is married and he has two
children. He has a very success-
ful business and doing very
well. I have a younger son at
home. He is 26 and is in busi-
ness with his brother. Maybe
some day we can arrange a
meeting in New York. Take
care and my best regards to
all.
Paul Hempfling, Sr. (Div Tns)
who wears two hats in the
association as Membership
Chairman seeking out missing
Hellcats and 2nd Vice President
has done it again. Paul located
James Starner who served in
the Division Military Platoon.
Jim resides in Nazareth, Pen-
nsylvania and we give him a
hearty Hellcat welcome to the
group. Paul still going strong
in trying to roundup those still
missing. He has sent out many
letters to members of the 572nd
AA who were attached to the
division and hopes to recruit
them as they are elgible for
membership.
Gene Curry (119th Armd Eng
Bn Unit Rep) in his August

his visit to the American Cemet-
ery in St. Avoid, France where
many Hellcats are resting.

FURTHERMORE: . . . Dur-
