38 STUDENT FINANCIAL AID
Nursing Scholarship Program -
West Texas Medical Center's Scholarship
Program for students in the Abilene Intercollegiate
School of Nursing will provide
financial assistance to two RN students
each year. At the junior classification level,
selected students shall receive $500 per
semester to apply toward tuition, fees,
books, etc. During the fourth year, senior
students shall receive $1,000 per semester. The "Payback Program" forgives $125
per month each month that the RN works
for West Texas Medical Center (full time
status). If the student fulfills a 24 month
commitment at regular RN salary and benefits,
the entire amount ($3,000) is forgiven.
Interested students should apply to
the Director of Nursing, Administrator, or
Personnel Manager at the hospital.m
