programs.
Inter-college Enrollment
A student enrolled at Hardin-Simmons
University may also enroll in courses at
Abilene Christian University and/orMcMurry College. Courses taken through
inter-college enrollment count toward
degree requirements, provided approval
has been secured in advance from the
advisor, the Business Office, and the
Office of the Registrar. Courses in a major,
minor, or teaching field must also be
approved by the appropriate department
head or dean. Some programs are available
only on an inter-college basis.
The student should work closely with
the advisor in electing inter-college work.

International Education and Study
Abroad
Recognizing the educational value of
exposure to different cultures, HardinSimmons
University offers a variety of
opportunities to enhance the educational
experience by reasonably priced study
and travel in foreign countries. College
credit may be gained in the following:
1. The School of Business and Finance
teaches courses in London during
the January term each year.
2. The Department of Foreign Languages
and the Department of Sociology
frequently conduct May-term
courses in Latin America (usually
Mexico).
3. HSU is currently involved in an ongoing
archeological project in Israel
with several other universities,
including Notre Dame. Students participate
in the actual excavation of
early Christian sites.
4. The HSU Summer Semester in England
Program offers students the
opportunity to take courses taught
by HSU professors on the campuses
of the Universities of London and
Edinburgh. The cost of the 51/2 week
stay in the United Kingdom is partially
underwritten for HSU students
by a special scholarship fund.
