DANIEL BAKER COLLEGE
Regulations
1. The college year begins on the third Thursday of
September. The session is divided into three terms: Fall
Term of thirteen 'v -eks before Christmas, and Winter and
Spring Terms of eleven weeks each. Recitations six days
a week.
2. Upon entering each year, each student is required
to pledge in writing that he or she will not only observe all
regulations while in college, but that he will exert himself
towards the preserving of order.
3. Registration is required at the beginning of the Fall
and Winter Terms; but the fees are required only on the
day of entrance each year.
4. Reports of the work and development of each student
are sent to parents or guardians at the middle and
end of each term. The grades are given by capital letters:
A being 90 to 100; B, 80 to 90; C, 70 to 80; D, 60 to 70;
E, 50 to 60; F, below 50.
Withdrawal
1. Any student wishing to withdraw from college for
any reason should consult the President before so doing,
and receive an honorable discharge.
2. Failure to comply with this regulation entails loss
of returnable fees and possible dismissal.
3. Any student desiring temporary absence from college
will obtain permission from the President before absenting
himself.
4. Any student absenting himself without permission
will be allowed to remain in college only on probation.
5. When a student withdraws from college, the President
shall at once notify the instructors concerned.
Absence from Class
1. Any student who shall have during a term more
unexcused absences than the number of times his class
meets each week, shall be required to take a special examination
at a time designated by the instructor in charge.
If he passes this examination, he will be permitted to continue
the course, but the absences will not be excused. After
he shall have failed in three courses by this process, his
name will be dropped from the college roll for the remainder
of the year.24
