Texts.-First Greek Book, White; First Greek Reader, Moss;
Xenophon's Anabasis, Goodwin and White.
Course 2.-Xenophon
Fall. Three Hours a Week.
Credit 1-3 Course.
Books II-IV of the Anabasis are read. Inflections and
syntax are emphasized throughout this course, due notice
being given to the idioms and special construction of Xenophon.
Advanced grammar work is done in connection with
prose translations from English to Greek. Term themes
relating to Xenophon's life works, and the times during
which he lived are required.

Greek Grammar Goodwin Greek Prose Composition, Pearson
Course 3.-Lysias
Winter, Spring. Three Hours a Week.
Credit 2-3 Course.
Select orations of Lysias will comprise the reading of
this course. In connection with the text, laws, court proceedings,
etc., will be studied. A review of the history
during the Peloponesian War will be read as parallel work.
Advanced grammar work and Greek Prose Composition
will be continued throughout this course.

Course 4. Demosthenes
Fall. Three Hours a Week.
Credit 1-3 Course.
Demosthenes' De Corona will be read and a careful
study of the history of the times will be made. Study in
Greek Literature will be introduced. Prose Composition
and advanced Grammar will be continued.
Texts.-Demosthenes' De Corona, Tyler; History of
Greek Literature; Greek Grammar, Goodwin.
Course 5.-Homer
Winter, Spring. Three Hours a Week.
