of the theory of Political Science from Aristotle to
date.
Course 2.-American Government
Winter, Spring. Three Hours a Week.
Credit 2-3 Course.
The history of the formation of the American state, its
characteristic principles, its development and changes, and
its problems today.
Texts.-Ashley, Federal State; Bryce, American Commonwealth.Course 3.-Comparative Governments
Fall. Three Hours a Week.
Credit 1-3 Course.
A comparative study of the leading systems of government
in the world, especially England, Germany, France,
Switzerland and the United States. Canada will be taken
as an example of the combination of the federal and parliamentary
systems.
Prerequisites.-Courses 1 and 2.
Course 4.-American Diplomacy
Winter. Three Hours a Week.
Credit 1-3 Course.
The object of this course is a knowledge of the position
of the United States in the world.
Text.-Fish, American Diplomacy.
A knowledge of American History is required.
Course 5.-International Conciliation
Spring. Three Hours a Week.
Credit 1-3 Course.
