tion of fractional forms and in the use of the equation, is
required.
The work covered in this course will be about as follows:
The four fundamental operations and an introduction
of the equation, positive and negative numbers, multiplication
of polynomials, and enough practice in these to
enable an early application of these principles to the solution
of problems which will show the uses of the subject. The
solution of simultaneous equations is next taken up, and
with it the graphic representation of equations; multiplication
of polynomials and factoring are studied together,
quotients and square roots and the solution of simple quadratics,
and the study of fractions with literal demnoinations.

Course B.-Algebra
Fall, Winter, Spring. Daily.
Credit 1 Unit.
This course is a continuation of the work of Course
B, and will begin with a review from a more advanced
standpoint of the preceding year. The course will cover
more advanced work on linear equations, powers and roots,
factoring, quadratic equations and fractions, and take a
short course in ratio, proportion and variation, and exponents
and radicals.
Prerequisite.-Course B.
Text-book.-New School Algebra, Wentworth.
Course C.-Plane Geometry
Fall, Winter, Spring. Daily.
Credit 1 Unit.
This course will complete the usual requirements for
plane geometry. Special attention is paid to the solution
of original exercises, and the student is taught to reason
and deduce logical conclusions. Although no prerequsite
is named for this course, it is expected that the study of
Algebra shall have been at least started, or that the student
be of sufficient maturity to successfully carry on the work
of the class without the mental training given by the study
of Algebra.
