Small of the Mabank Courier which
occurred in Tyler this morning Tbo
remains will be shipped to Palestine
for interment The funeral will tafeo

relatives and friends

Palestine and Corsicana parties
signed up contracts yesterday for a
third oil well to be put down on the G
S Rose tract of land about two and
onehalf miles from Neches and near
tho I GN railroad The belief is
expressed by oil experts that the best
of all indications are found here This
well will be about two miles from the
first well to be put down by Davey
and associates
Timber for the derrick has already
beon pnrchasod and the machinery
has been shipped from Corsicana and
will arrive early next week The new
well will go down 1200 feet if a good
strike is not made at a less depth
With these several efforts being
made it is reasonable to expect a good
strike soon

spark of life of Little Park the 2year
old son of Mr Olin Moore went out
and the soul of the little one went to
join that of its mother who died some
months ago Tho remains will bo car-
ried to Neches for burial tomorrow as
tho mother was buried there Mr
Moore and family have the sympathy
of a host of friends

This morning about 3 oclock the
pretty home of Engineer H M Jones
on Oak street was partly destroyed
by fire
The roof and upper part of the
building was destroyed and the build-
ings contents flooded with water
The fire company made a splendid
fight
The damage will amount to several
hundred dollars The property is
sufficiently covered to protect tho
damage
