The upper level of the abbey has significant damage, including large holes, crumbling edges, and missing decorative features. Printed text at the bottom of the postcard identifies the ruins as St. Jean des Vignes in Soissons, Aisne, France. The other side of the postcard is blank except for postcard markings.
