College where be has been largely
responsible for the Yellow Jackets'
success during those two years. He
has a good bunch of material and from
them he ought to give us one of the
strongest lines In the state.
The team has for Its captain this
year a husky young Irishman by the
name of Bill Denny who Is playing
h!s third year. In the past he has
boen rated as one of Die best wings In
the stute and should go his best this
year.
In the last two years the team ha?
been woefully weak at quarterback
but this year we have an abundance
of material for this Important posi-
tion In the persons of Flack from Me-

The backfleld should prove to bt
one of the very best as we have
Stringer Haynes and LeMay back
I from lust year's team and along with
them wo have Flack Merrit. Self. Al
ford Hrown and White which should
provide the coaches with; (material
from which to pick a strong combi-
nation of ball toters.
The line has F. Stringer Hoffman
Coke Irby Lane Tabor and Denny
back from last year nnd a wealth of
new material In Taylor Bragg Smith
Clreon Vernon Ramscey Mclnnls
Knox and Prentice. Prom all of these
pig skin gladiators we should be able
to get a line that will be second to
none.
With the prospects looking so well
it is the duty of the entire faculty and
r.tudent body to get In back of the
team and coaches and give them youi
undivided support in every way. With
your loyal support to encourage thi
boys we can turn out the best teair

There is no guess work and no hur-

the season's work. With plenty of
time before their opening game on
October 11th Ollflllan andtl bbs line

some worth while rudimentary In-

working the nine backjbld candidates
on running passing side stepping

been putting his squad of more than
twenty candidates for line positions
through the hardest work of their
