UNITED FUND r 0C
Tarrant County United Fund Staffer, Andy Cauthen
stretches to put a big blue star at the top of the1967 United Fund Goal Tree.
The star is symbol for
this year's goll, and its a whopper. The UF hopes to
raise 3-million-189-thousand-702 dollars this year.
That's a 6*point-9 per-cent increase over last year's
which translates to 206-thousand-dollars.
The 1967 campaign chairman, Vaughn Wilson, says the
record-breaking goal includes a provision of 25-
thousand dollars for a new UF program: sending
underprivileged kids to summer camps. And, two
service organizations supported by the fund are getting
a bigger budget bite this year because of the war in
Viet-Nam. The USO and the Red Cross will have a
combined budget boost of 50-thousand dollars. The
UF for Tarrant County will begin Septembereighth, and run/through October 20th.
