Testimony in the rial of Marvin Schultz indicated
he pulled the trigger 13 times last February when
he shot Doctor John Wheeler Junior. So today, the
jury
assessed his punishment at 13 years in prison.
The 27-year-old Schultz was convicted of assault
intent
with to murder. The state says he burst
into the apartment of his former wife and began
firing. Three shots iremek the doctor, one 100
causing the loss of an eye. Thereafter, the gun
misfired
although Schultz continued pulling the
trigger. Testimony from ballistics witnesses
showed there were firingpinsmarks on the gun's
