Beautiful downtown Terlingua is the busy scene of the
second annual World's Championship Chili-Cookoff,
sponsored by the Dallas-based Chili Appreciation
Society, International. This time, the undecided
world's chappion chili-cooker, Austin columnist Wick
Fowler, at right, is challenged by a contender from
the west; Woodruff "Wino Woody" DeSilva of onga,
California. Wino Woody sneers that Fowler's chili
is too harsh for civilized palates, and cannot standsophisticated
