Funeral services for VT. Lee O'Daniel will be
held at four o'clock tomorrow afternoon at Northwest
Highway Chapel of Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home
in Dallas. The 79-year-old former Texas governor
and U.S. Senator died yesterday. Cause of death
still hasn't been divulged.
Governor Preston Smith issued a statement in
which he asked Texans to join him in mourning the
death. It added, "The massive vote which he always
received showed him to be a man in tune with the
times in which he lived."--30--
