CHERRY HEARING
The change-of-venue hearing for accused murderer
James Walter Cherry and Twyna Blankenship continues
in Dallas today. The two are charged with the shooting
death of a Dallas Deputy Sherrif last January during
a shootout at an East Dallas Motel.
The defense claims a fair trial in Dallas is
impossible because of publicity given the case.
Killed was deputy Buddy Walthers. His partner,
Alvin Maddox was also shot but has since recoveredfrom his wounds.
