Fort Worth congressman Jim Wright has suggested that the federal
government re-imburse cities, counties or states for census recounts --
if the official figures turn out to be at least three per cent higher
than first estimated. Currently a city or other government unit must'
pay for the specal census counts -- regardless of the outcome.
Wright says the evidence is gow growing that the official 1970census missed thousands of americans.
