The escape capsule of an Air Force FB-111A fighter-bomber
and the bodies of the pilot and navigator were found last
night in a pine forest about 30 miles North of New Orleans.
three weeks
The plane had been missing for z mnxt from Carswell Air
Force base in Fort Worth. The capsule and the bodies were
discovered by two men digging a draining ditch. The area
was promptly declared off limits and an immediate search
was launched for the plane itself.
The pilot was Lieutenant Colonel Bruce Stocks...and
the navigator was Major Billy Gentry...both from Fort Worth.
