Dear Friends,
At ActBlue, we're about democratizing power.
Since 2004, we've worked to bring state-of-the-art online fundraising tools to
Democratic campaigns and organizations across America. Over the last two cycles
we've seen the difference those tools can make, from state chambers to Capitol Hill.
The electoral triumphs of 2006 and 2008 have also brought big changes to ActBlue as
we strive to keep Democrats on the leading edge of the online fundraising process.
It's with that goal in mind that I'd like to announce the creation of ActBlue
Technical Services, our dedicated tech provider. As a result of the increased
demand for what we do here at ActBlue, we've decided that the advantages of having
our own dedicated technical services provider are vitally important to the goal of
providing you the same high quality of service you've experienced over the last two
cycles.
As a campaign, you'll notice a minor change in your reporting data. Effective July 1,
2009, the 3.95% processing fee that was previously labeled "Auburn Quad" will now
read "ActBlue Technical Services." That's it. Everything stays the same. This change
does not affect the way you report your contributions, but we wanted keep you
abreast of the exciting developments here at ActBlue.
That small change is a signifier of great things to come here at ActBlue. Our dedicated
technical staff will improve the speed and flexibility of our operations, and ensure that
we can meet the growing needs of Democrats in 2010 and beyond. Your support has
been a crucial part of our success, and we look forward to working with you in the
future.
From all of us here at ActBlue, thanks.
Sincerely,
Erin Hill, Executive Director
