Two area Chambers of Commerce have been honored
by The Texas Manufacturers Association for their
observance of Texas Industrial Week. They are
the chambers of Plano and Mexia. Other winners --
outside Area Five were Waco and Longview. Waco was
the only repeat winner from last year's awards
program.

A spectacular parade will be held this Saturday
afternoon at 2 in Hurst to kick off the annual
Fiesta week held each year. The parade -- which
rolls along Pipeline road will feature bands,
clowns, horses, floats, color guards and other
things including Disney Cartoon characters.

Speaking of Hurst -- the City is trying a four
day word week for employees in three municipal
departments -- parks, water and sewer and street
