SPresident Nixon asked Congress for 100 (14) million
dollars for disaster relief, and the Senate promptly
voted to double the figure to 200 (14) million.
\ouse action is not expected before Friday.
(The House DID vote to extend the 450 (B)~ billion
dollar national debt ceiling until October 31st, ad
ajlso passed and sent to the Senate a 21 (B), billion
dollar "offensive weapons" bill.
Tjhe House also turned down a proposal to order all
