The item was part of the UNT Special Collections' Fall 2017 exhibit "Threads of Remembrance" commemorating the 30th anniversary of the inaugural display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in 1987 and exploring the history of the AIDS Memorial Quilt and the Dallas-Fort Worth community's response to the AIDS epidemic.
