Texas Truckers say they do not plan to join the blockade
in the North and Midwest by fellow truck drivers protest
less fue .lower speeds and shortages.However..the
Texas haulers sympathize with the demonstrations.Many
truckers say great advantage is being taken of the
fuel shortage..as some suppliers are charging twice the
amount to fill tanks on the big rigs.

Truck drivers have so clogged main highways and key
bridges in parts of the NorthEast and Midwest..that
Governors of Pennsylvania and Ohio threatened to use
National Guardsmen to clear the highways.Pennsylvn ia
truckers tonight agreed to call off their blockingmeasures .and Ohio Governor John Gillan has given
truckers until tomorrow morning to clear a dozen major
highways..or National Guardsmen will do it..and drivers
. will face legal actions khe tru k roadblocks reached as
far South today..as BrinkleyArkansas..ofl Interstate 40.
