The cover art for tonight's worship guide was done by Ralph Thaddeus Gonzales, using a
design suggested by Michael. As you follow the arc from the center of the page, the AIDS ribbon
becomesthe Christian symbol called the'ICHTHUS', afish-shaped symbol used by early Christians
to identify themselves in the midst of persecution. In the Greek language, the letters that form the
word'ichthus' are an acronym for the title, "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior." The arc finally ends
in the cross and flame, the logo of the United Methodist Church.
The quilt hanging behind the pulpit was fashioned by the Rev. Colleen Segroves using words
and sentiments suggested by members of the Northaven community.
There will be a reception in the atrium following tonight's service and you are cordially invited
to stay and greet one another and the members of Michael's family.
