LONG SHOT ROOM
At Fair Park in Dallas, the two-day Cotton Bowl Bond and
Option holders drawing gets underway in the Foods Building.
A scattering of the bond and option holders watch as Jimmy
Stewart, executive vice-president and general manager of the
State Fair, and Dr. Floyd Poe, chairman of the bond committee,
explain the rules and method of drawing.
P.C. Cobb, chairman of the drawing committee, dumps the ticket
stubs 'into a big wire hopper, from which will be drawn seat
assignrients for college and professional football games to

be played in the Cotton Bowl during the coming season---including
the 1952 New Year's Day classic. All bond and option holders
were invited by mail to attend the drawing. Miss Shirley Yates,
fifteen year old Adamsorn High School student, assists Mr.Cobb by drawing the first number from the hopper, as 16-year

old Delois Rushing of Crozier Tech supervises.
Mr. Cobb takes the stub, and reads out the number. Four hundred
